I’m Liza Cohen, founder and owner of Nature’s Nosh, lover of the outdoors, adventures, good food and good laughs. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio before attending Vanderbilt University to study Organizational Development and Business. After an unfulfilling career in marketing, I continued my education at the International Culinary Center in New York City to school to follow my true passion: food.
The idea for Nature’s Nosh came to me in 2017 (around the same time I began culinary school), while vacationing with a friend’s family. On this trip, my friend’s mom would sneak away from her grown kids each morning to smoke CBD as her form of relaxation and pain-relief.
The idea for Nature’s Nosh was immediately born and our mission was clear:
We aim to remove the negative stigma associated with cannabis consumption while making it healthy and convenient for consumers to reap the natural benefits of this functional ingredient.
The concept for Nature’s Nosh was further solidified while training for the New York Marathon in 2018. In researching the best foods to eat before long workouts, the same two foods kept coming up dried fruit and nuts. It immediately became clear that these functional ingredients would provide a perfect base for my healthy CBD snacks.
By pairing the natural benefits of hemp extract with other functional ingredients, dried fruit for energy and digestive support and nuts for protein and antioxidants, we are on a mission to prove that food is medicine.
